I collaborated with the director, Joanne Shin, from Ambience Seoul—a production company known for K-pop music videos to work on a visual teaser. The teaser, is done in anticipation of rising boy band, Close Your Eyes's latest album release, Snowy Summer. This was a joint effort with fellow motion designer, Leo Bai.

The Concept
The Snowy Summer album from Close Your Eyes is based on the idea of a sudden snowstorm appearing in the middle of summer. This bizarre event is filled with horror and suspicion, with the group trying to find out who or what caused it. For the visual teaser, we crafted a narrative that begins with a seemingly normal summer picnic on a dark night, subtly hinting at the horror elements from the official music video. The mood is shattered by a radio announcement of the incoming snowstorm. From there, the story is told through the perspective of news articles and public reaction, detailing everything from the initial rumors of ghosts to the eventual acceptance and enjoyment of the bizarre snowy summer by the city's citizens.
Process
We kicked off the project by simultaneously tackling two key areas. We began by designing the newspaper layouts and curating the featured articles. At the same time, we explored visual styles for the 3D scenes, with the goal of creating a smooth and seamless flow as the viewer moves from the 3D world to the newspaper and back again.
